CARDIO BOOT CAMP

An adaptive interval class that mixes calisthenics and body weight exercises with cardio training. These boot camps are designed to constantly change, so you’ll always be able to achieve a different goal. Be ready to work up a sweat in this class!


KARATE

Building confidence in a safe, structured environment is a priority at our center and can be achieved in our karate class. Members build social skills while working towards a common goal of improving balance, flexibility, attention span, and coordination.


SOCIAL SKILLS

Classes are designed to teach social skills through movement based activities in a supportive environment. Members are taught sports skills and interactive games with a focus on communicating with others and team work. Our goal is to provide opportunities for social interactions, increased movement and a sense of accomplishment.


STRENGTH & TRAINING CLASS*

One of our more challenging classes, strength and training helps improve muscular strength by increasing the ability to resist force through the use of free weights, machines, and/or the person’s own body weight.

*Member must be at least 10 years old, and be able to work independently.

 

TEAM BUILDING

Every individual with autism experiences difficulty within his/her ability to communicate, express, learn, and interact with others and their environment. Team building implements those behaviors into hands on activities that enable each child participating to use a previous barrier as a tool to strengthen their overall social abilities. Each week attention will be drawn to one aspect of team building, social skills, or communication tools, through purposeful challenges, movement-based activities, and physical fitness.

YOGA

Yoga is a form of autism exercise therapy that includes breathing control, meditation, and specific bodily postures. This class creates a relaxing environment all while reducing pain, aggression, anxiety, and obsessive behaviors.

ZUMBA

An adaptive approach to the popular dance fitness program, our Zumba class combines all the elements of fitness- cardio, muscle conditioning, balance, flexibility, and a serious dose of fun!
