ASD Fitness Center offers physical activities for kids and adults with autism, including one-on-one training sessions.
Each 30 or 60 minute session is guided by our International Sports and Sciences Association (ISSA) certified personal trainers who all have a background in special education. Our specialized one-on-one training follows the “Individual Fitness Program” (IFP), which insures an exercise program fit for your child. IFP uses a Cognitive Adaptive Physical (CAP) assessment to construct a personalized program specific to each individual’s goals and abilities.
Key areas the IFP may target are core, upper body, lower body, agility, and cardio as well as sports skills if applicable. Your child may also work on coordination, balancing, eye hand coordination and gross motor skills. Traditional and adaptive fitness equipment is incorporated into a fun, comfortable environment geared to encourage success.
Getting physical activity is an important part of a healthy lifestyle. The Fitness Center is a place where clients can find activities they love, meet new friends, and form bonds with our trainers.
